Produced by TRIA Productions, this documentary shows a unique festival. "PARINTINS " shows not only the festival of the folklore Island of Parintins, in the Amazon but also the history, preparation, life and journey of its residents. Located 27 hours by boat up the Amazon river, 420 Km from its Capital Manaus and almost border of the State of Pará, the Parintins Island is the cradle of the ancient indigenous tribes of Tupinambá, Sapupe and Parintintins. The city of Parintins, has no more than 90 thousand inhabitants, and sees its quiet life transformed with the red and blue colors with the arrival of the largest cultural demonstration of North Brazil: The Folklore Festival of Parintins. The Indians of Parintins are born with special gifts; they are born artists, genetic inheritance, from what they believe coming from their Gods, heroes and warriors, they design and build this spectacle with their own hands and soul.
